Please come join Parents for Improving Kentucky Education (PIKE) and The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools (NAPCS) on Saturday, January 28th for a “Make a Toy” Challenge. Elementary age children will be provided with models and all of the necessary parts to construct a toy to bring home. Children will use their creativity and innovation skills to create a toy of their own. There will also be craft activities for younger children.

Last night was a momentous occasion at our house!  I've marked the calendar and I've burned it into my memory.  For the first time EVER we all ate the same home-cooked meal and neither of my kids complained or cried (yes believe it or not crying is common at our dinner table).  This makes me so happy that I had to share my success story and the recipe I came up with that led to it.  The secret is that the cauliflower is hidden by the hash browns ...
