Monday, February 27 - Operation: PARENT, Addiction Gene?

For parents of teens, pre-teens and those as young as 4-5th grade.  Many parents have had numerous discussions about drugs and alcohol with their children. But what do you tell your children about addiction within your own family? Is there an addiction gene and if so, what do they need to know about alcohol, drugs and addiction? Michael Gosser, LCSW, from the Morton Center will also discuss the progression of substance use problems, especially with the backdrop of adolescent development. You will come away with valuable information on how to best educate your children on the risks of addiction.
