Halloween is almost upon us and I'm sure many of you are frantically planning your quickly approaching parties, fun and festive dinners, last minute costumes and trying to map the quickest route home after your kiddo's Sunday afternoon soccer or football game!  So I thought, I'd throw some ideas at you in hopes of making your life easier.  That's what Macaroni Mom's do, we help each other out!

Thursday, November 4 - Preschool Open Gym at All About Kids

Offered weekly Monday through Friday.  Wear our your little ones at this fabulous gym!  From 12-1 the kids can use the gymnastics equipment (while you supervise) and if that's not enough, you can come early or stay later to enjoy the inflatable zone.

Saturday, October 30 through Sunday, October 31 - Spirits of La Grange Ghost Tour

The 1 ½ hour lantern-lit walking tour will take you inside three locations with about eight stops along the way for a distance of 12 blocks. Tours run every Friday and Saturday through October.
Where: Tours leave from the Oldham County History Center, 106 North Second Avenue (right on the Courthouse Square).
When: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (additional tours available at 7:30 and 8:00)
Who: Due to the potential intensity of spirit activity, tours are recommended for children 13 and up.  The guides sometimes get pretty spooked themselves!

Now that pumpkin season is here, try this as soon as you get your hands on one! It is delicious and a big tradition in our family!! Great for entertaining too!

1 small to medium pumpkin
1 onion, chopped
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 1/2 to 2 lbs ground beef
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
