Review of Gerber Cereals

August 23, 2015
I used Gerber Cereals as first foods for all 3 of my kiddos. I loved watching them sit up in the high chair and start trying their first foods. They always seemed so grown up! My son especially loved the Gerber cereals. I used to mix them with baby food such as sweet potatoes or apples. It was his favorite way to eat them. You can mix it with breast milk or formula and when mixed with the pureed fruits or vegetables it packs in 10 essential vitamins and minerals into each spoonful.

Gerber Cereal is as versatile as it is nutritious, it really was my secret weapon. Now there are so many different ones to choose from. We got to try the Gerber oatmeal cereal, Gerber oatmeal and banana, Gerber Lil' Bits oatmeal banana strawberry and Gerber Hearty Bits banana apple strawberry. Gerber grain cereals are made from natural grains such as rice and oatmeal to introduce solid foods and start the gradual transition to thicker textures.

At about the middle of the first year, most babies are developmentally ready for solid foods and need calories and nutrients from solid foods to meet their nutrition needs. They also need lots of iron. Iron is vital for brain development and growth. Gerber Cereals can help. Just two servings a day provides 90% of infants' daily iron needs. Gerber Cereals also contain calcium, Vitamins C, E, Zinc and six B vitamins. You can see all their products at www.Gerber.com/Home
