August means back to school time! But don't fear, there are still so many fun events this month. August 1st: Make and fly kites at Kites and Classical.
August 2nd: It's National Night Out. Help make your neighborhood safer at many locations around town.
August 3rd: Go to a free hearing screening and get free school supplies.
August 4th: See some cool cars at the Street Rod Nationals.
August 5th: Go to AnimeCon at the Louisville Main Library. 
August 6th: Let your kids swim, bike and run at the Oldham County Parks and Rec Kids Triathlon. Check out Stage One Storytellers. Go to Pet Day and Butterfly Day.
August 7th: Learn something new at the Hemp Festival.
August 8th: Watch and discuss your favorite anime at the Anime Club at the Middletown Library.
August 9th: Play at open gym time at Power and Grace Gymnastics and Dance.
August 10th: JCPS is back in session. The playgrounds will be empty, perfect for your younger kiddos.
August 11th: Learn to cook something new at Tasty Thursdays.
August 12th: See a concert at Foxhollow Farm. See a free outdoor movie at Christ Church at Goshen, on the Belvedere or at the Parklands.
August 13th: Take the kids to do a Mighty Titan mud run.
August 14th: See a free concert in the park in Middletown.
August 15th: Go to open craft time at Maker Mondays at the Oldham County Schools Art Center.
August 16th: FEAT is having a family night at Puzzle's for kids with disabilities and their families.
August 17th: The US Autism and Asperger Association World Conference starts today.
August 18th: Go to the Kentucky State Fair.
August 19th: Drop the kids off for Parents Night Out at the Northeast YMCA.
August 20th: Shop at the Kids 2 Kids consignment sale. See Aladdin at StageOne's Movie Series. Go to adult only Summer Camp.
August 21st: Go to Yew Dell Gardens for the Hummingbird Festival.
August 22nd: See a free concert at the State Fair.
August 23rd: It's Dog Day at the Park at the Louisville Bats.
August 24th: Check out a free storytime at one of the many Louisville Public Library Locations. They have options for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.
August 25th: Study history at History Hounds at the Oldham County Historical Society.
August 26th: Shop at the KidStuff Sale.
August 27th: Go Cruisin' with the Quads in LaGrange.
August 28th: Discover Your Superpower at this free event at the Muhammad Ali Center.
August 29th: Do yoga at sunset at Captain's Quarters.
August 30th: See The 39 Steps at Actors Theatre.
August 31st: See a show at Waterfront Wednesday.
