My kids and I love to craft, to do art and create new things. My son has now gotten old enough that he has moved on from crayons and coloring books to his phone and technology. Scotch™ Designable Films are the perfect combination of high tech art that is very intriguing for him. He can go to a very easy-to-use website, design his own customized look and print a really cool product right from our home printer.
You start at www.scotchbrand.com/design. You can create from your computer or phone. Pick your device and whether you have a case or not, then choose your layout. There are many different ones to choose from. You then upload pictures from your phone, Facebook, Instagram or you can take a new picture to use. There are also different shapes to use to add to your design. You can write your own text, and change the color and font. Every time you add a design element it shows you what your design will look like and you can change, resize and move things around.
After you are happy with your design you can create an account and save it. Then you can email it to yourself. It is recommended to print the designs from a computer. Simply pull up your email, select your design and print onto special, durable film from 3M. They come with a practice sheet so can ensure that it prints correctly. You do not need a special printer.
Our designs looked great printed out. We now have our own custom decals we can use on our phone. We even used ours to decorate our computer and tablet. The decals peel off very easily and do not leave any sticky residue. You can switch them out over and over. I have had mine on my phone for 2 weeks and it still looks good. It also helps to protect my phone from scratches and scuffs. My son has made multiple decals and swapped his out quite often. They are super fun and easy to make.
