What's For Dinner? Gorton's Skillet Crisp Tilapia
A Macaroni Review & Giveaway!
GIVEAWAY!! GIVEAWAY!! GIVEAWAY!!
If you are like me when you hear "Gorton's" you think of the hardworking fisherman in the yellow coat and fish sticks. I'm here to tell you there's much more to Gorton's these days! I received my choice of a free Gorton's frozen seafood item to cook up and review at home last week and I was absolutely surprised by the variety Gorton's now offers. I'm cooking for a four and six year old so I went with the Skillet Crisp Classic Seasonings Tilapia. I admit it's not the most adventurous choice, considering the options included Grilled Salmon, Shrimp Scampi, All Natural Cajun Blackened Grilled Fillets and more!
I cooked up our Tilapia with some frozen broccoli and cilantro lime brown rice for a super easy and healthy meal complete in under 20 minutes. The Skillet Crisp Tilapia was painless to cook. All that is required is a non-stick pan. Open the box and throw them in, turn them over in 10 minutes, cook for another 10 minutes and voila! They were crisp, fresh and mild in flavor and NO fishy smell in the house. The whole family enjoyed them and my husband even commented on how fresh they tasted. These will be a staple in my freezer from now on.
And because Gorton's wants to share the love with Macaroni Kid, I have three more coupons for a FREE Gorton's Frozen Seafood Item. Leave a comment here to enter! Winners will be chosen by Random.org and announced in the April 19th newsletter. Good Luck!

My three girls are very adventurous when it comes to eating fish - the other night they all tried sashimi (sp?). But, I'm always look for a fast way to cook a nutritious, fast, pleasing to everyone dinner - almost an impossibility considering I'm a vegetarian, and my girls and husband all have their own preferences. I would love a coupon, even though I really am a bad coupon person! I'd love to win something from such a cool web site as this one. I never win things, although they say you have to enter things to win things.

I have two little picky eaters in my house. So when it come to eating fish for dinner I know they will eat Gorton's. I have tried the fresh, make it yourself fish, which is turns out great, but for some reason my kiddos don't think so. So for the most part, if I want my kids to eat, I get Gorton's.
