Monsters Arriving in Louisville

GIVEAWAY!  GIVEAWAY!  GIVEAWAY!

Calling all truck lovers!  Do the names, Grave Digger, Samson, Crushstation, Incinerator, Black Stallion, Scooby Doo and Iron Warrior mean anything to you or your kids (or maybe your husbands)?

Monster Jam®, the world's premier monster truck series, is coming to Freedom Hall in Louisville, January 25th and 26th both shows begin at 7:30.

Approximately 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, monster trucks are custom-designed machines that sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh a minimum of 10,000 pounds. Built for short, high-powered bursts of speed, monster trucks generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and are capable of speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Monster trucks can fly up to125 to 130 feet (a distance greater than 14 cars side by side) and up to 35 feet in the air.

And my 7 year old son LOVES them!  This will be his third Monster Jam event (yes, being the son of Macaroni Kid has its perks ;) and he was bouncing off the walls when we told him he would be seeing the trucks again next week.  I mean what kid doesn't love huge trucks crushing old beat up cars?!?

Attend the Saturday show and you can check out The Party in the Pits from 5:00 -6:30PM.  You'll get an up close view of the trucks and meet the drivers too! Free pit passes are available at participating Advance Auto Parts locations while supplies last.  Pit it passes will also be available at the box office or through Ticketmaster for an additional fee. Fans must have a Saturday, January 26 event ticket and a pit pass to enter.

I strongly recommend bringing hearing protection for you and your little ones to this event. Our first year we used the small disposable ear plugs but have since learned you need big-time ear protection to turn down the noise for little ears.  Use the good ones you find at the gun range or borrow some from a friend.  Those trucks have big engines and they are LOUD!

Tickets are on sale now with seats starting at $25 for adults and kids tickets (ages 2-12) for only $5 when purchased in advance.  All tickets are available at the Freedom Hall Box Office, Ticketmaster Outlets or by calling 1-800-745-3000.

For the Saturday, January 26 event, you can purchase a Total Access Pass. This includes 1 ticket to the event seated in the best seats in the house, and exclusive access to drivers with a private meet and greet from 4-5pm. Total Access Passes are available for $65 but quantities are limited!

Win your tickets here!!!
