Halloween night comes but once a year. But Halloween-related events? Like ghosts in a graveyard, family-friendly holiday events are popping up in East Louisville and Oldham County everywhere, all month long! From longtime annual traditions to fun first-time events, we’re seeing Halloween creeping up everywhere!
So we stirred and stirred our Macaroni Kid potions in a cauldron until -- boom! -- this list of spooky and not-so-spooky kid-friendly events happening in East Louisville and Oldham County in October appeared. Use it to plan some wickedly family fun, and make sure to share with all your fiendish friends! You won’t want to miss a thing! You can find all events on our Events Calendar. World's Largest Halloween Party at the Louisville Zoo

Lagrange Fire Safety & Halloween Festival

Free event! $5 parking per vehicle, Family-friendly event, costumes are encouraged! Everyone can see police cars, fire trucks and EMS vehicles up close. Air Methods KY-11 aircraft will be landing and taking off so everyone can see a medical helicopter up close and personal. Oldham County Schools Transportation Dept, will have a school bus for kids to see up close. Oldham County Sheriffs Office will be offering child fingerprinting. There will be Trick-or-Treating, a costume contest, bounce houses, and hayrides.

This fall, we are introducing The Harvest Hoedown. A creatively curated, two-day, family-friendly music festival. There will be a square dance on Friday, October 11th, 6-9pm, and an autumn celebration featuring 3 bands on Saturday, October 12th, noon-5pm. Fall flair will be front and center on both days including; a Pick your Own Pumpkin Patch featuring heirloom & edible varieties, a hay fort for children to play, delicious farm-fresh food, and fall-inspired libations. Our annual Trunk or Treat will be Sunday, October 27, at 6:00 PM at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church (3301 W Highway 22, Crestwood). We will have food and a whole bunch of candy. All are invited.

Trunk or Treat | Make-A-Wish OH, KY & IN

Come on out and celebrate Halloween with your local Make-A-Wish families, volunteers and supporters. Bring the kids to trick-or-treat early with decorated themed trunks, participate in a wish family costume contest and create wish art. You do not have to be a Make-A-Wish family to attend; the more the merrier! Cost is FREE to participate. We welcome donations of any amount to help us create life-changing wishes for more local kids!
