The 2019 Cultural Pass and Summer Reading Program are Here!

Pick up a Cultural Pass this summer and visit nearly 60 arts and cultural venues for FREE!

Be a Monster Reader this summer! Presented by the Library Foundation, LFPL’s Summer Reading is a 10-week program that encourages kids, families, and teens to read for fun over the summer and win prizes! The program runs from June 1 – August 10. Every child or teen who completes the program will earn a Monster Reader pencil pouch, along with passes to local attractions like Kentucky Science Center, Squire Boone Caverns, Louisville City FC, and more, as well as be entered into grand prize drawings, like a chance to win a night in the Mayor’s Suite at a Louisville Bats game! The Cultural Pass is coming back this Summer too! You can pick up your Cultural Pass starting June 1st. Visit any branch of the Louisville Free Public Library, Jeffersonville Township Library, New Albany-Floyd County Public Library, or Bullitt County Public Library to get a Cultural Pass. The Cultural Pass provides free access to many of Greater Louisville’s arts and cultural institutions. The Pass is valid for one-time general admission at each of the participating institutions. Participants must have or be eligible for a card from Louisville Free Public Library, Jeffersonville Township Library, New Albany-Floyd County Public Library, or Bullitt County Public Library to participate in the 2019 Cultural Pass. The Cultural Pass is valid until August 10th. Everyone ages 0-21 that is eligible for a library card in the above counties are eligible for a pass. Cultural Pass holders 15 years old and younger can bring one accompanying adult for free and only one adult will receive free entry per family regardless of the number of passes.

The list of participating venues is HERE! If it is like last year there will be some events that require registration and tickets that will sell out so be sure to get your pass as soon as you can!
