The Cultural Pass and Summer Reading Return on June 1st!

Cultural Passes will be available for pickup at all library locations beginning June 1st.

The 2023 Cultural Pass is presented in partnership with Metro Louisville, the Louisville Free Public Library, Arts and Culture Alliance, and the Fund for the Arts. Pick up a Cultural Pass this summer and visit more than 50 arts and cultural venues for FREE!

Children and young adults up to age 21 are eligible, and Cultural Pass holders 15 years old and younger can bring one accompanying adult for free as well. See pass or visit fundforthearts.org/culturalpass/ for the official rules and how to register.


The Louisville Free Public Library’s annual 10-week Summer Reading Program, presented by the Library Foundation, encourages children and teens to read for fun over the summer and helps them avoid summer learning loss.

LFPL’s Summer Reading Program and Cultural Pass start June 1 and are FREE to all area youth.

Where can I use my pass?

There are more than 50 participating venues this year that will have both in-person and virtual offerings. A full list of Cultural Pass offerings is coming soon.

How do I register?

To register for your FREE Cultural Pass, visit your local library’s website

What type of activities are offered?

The activities are all different.  They consist of performance videos, arts, and cultural projects, workshops, and more.

Can I attend Cultural Pass Days for free?

Cultural Pass Days are completely free! All you need to attend a Cultural Pass day is your Cultural Pass. No RSVP is required.

When does Cultural Pass end?

Cultural Pass is available from June 1 – August 6, 2023.
