The Kentucky Railway Museum's special holiday trains are back this year. There are 2 options to choose from, the Santa Express and the North Pole Express.
All aboard the Santa Express! Bring the children on a magical journey to meet Santa. Enjoy a train excursion while Santa visits with the children and maintaining appropriate social distancing. Don’t forget your camera!
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions (dated as of September 2020), no hot chocolate will be served this year. Bottled water and individually wrapped cookies will be provided for each person. Families will receive hot chocolate packets to enjoy at home! Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas. Masks are required to be worn inside and on the train (this includes children over the age of 5). We are required to allow no groups larger than 10 persons. Seating assignments will be situated so that groups larger than 10 persons are divided and seated with social distancing. ALL SEATS ARE ASSIGNED FOR THIS EVENT (tickets must be purchased together to guarantee seating together). DUE TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, NO MEALS MAY BE BROUGHT ONTO THE TRAIN; ONLY INDIVIDUAL LIGHT SNACKS WILL BE PERMITTED. Join us for a magical train ride to pick up Santa! On our journey to the North Pole, enjoy a train excursion while listening to the sounds of the season. Upon arriving at the North Pole, we pick up Santa, who boards the train and travels with us on our way back to New Haven. Families are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the ultimate North Pole experience.
Upon arriving back at the station, you have the opportunity to come into the depot and take your child’s photo with Santa while safely socially distanced. The children also love exploring the museum. The model trains are especially delightful during the holidays!
