Louisville-based magician/autism advocate Cody Clark is launching a new bimonthly magic & variety show series at the newly opened Highview Arts Center called Cody & Friends – A Magical Variety Show. The debut show will take place on Sat. Oct. 15th at 7 PM and each show will feature Cody performing and emceeing lineups of his closest friends in magic and the performing arts community.
The first lineup features 2022 Kentucky State Fair Talent Contest semi-finalist Jimmy McKnight, 2021 Louisville Magic Club close-up magic contest winner Sid Marvelous, and husband-wife comedy magic duo Smoke & Mirrors. All three are accomplished members of the Louisville Magic Club who as the next generation of Louisville magicians regularly get together to help each other grow as performers.
Cody has been a locally based-professional magician and public speaker for seven years and counting. He decided to launch a regularly occurring magic show because of the fond memories he has of similar shows like The Caravan’s Battle of the Hands where in the early 2010s he had his first opportunity to perform. He loves being able to provide his friends with the same opportunities he had and to give Louisville a place to see the art of magic regularly.
