Teen AnimeCon offers Asian cultural experiences, cosplay contest, more

November 10, 2022

Just for teens ages 12-19, AnimeCon is a FREE day-long festival at the Main Library that encourages cultural exchange by celebrating Asian culture, cosplay, and Japanese-style animation. This year's convention features Chinese dance performances with Oreya Ou, a Shibori Tie Dye workshop, and a 360 Photo Booth. Attendees can also compete in the eighteenth annual Ramen-eating and cosplay contests, listen to Japanese ghost stories, go on a Pokémon scavenger hunt, sing Karaoke, and enjoy Anime screenings and Anime-inspired crafts.

AnimeCon 18 is Saturday, November 12, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Main Library (301 York Street). Teens ages 12–19 can register for this free convention at LFPL.org/animecon.
