My kids started the end of year count down about 10 days ago.  Each day I am reminded how many days of peace and quite I have left....we are down to about 3 DAYS....YIKES!  All joking aside, I truly am looking forward to summer vacation.  I treasure this time with my kids and can't wait to do many of the fun local activities that we just don't have time for during the school year.  And, you betcha, I'll be using the Louisville East Macaroni Kid ...

The Hometown Tourist Celebration is here once again for the month of May.  This is a smart and easy way to see attractions in Louisville at a discount.  The program runs through May 31st and a complete list of deals can be found here.  You'll earn discounted admission at some of Macaroni Kid's favorite attractions such as the Frazier History Museum,  the Kentucky Science Center,  Louisville Mega Cavern, Louisville Zoo the belle of Louisville and more!

Does your kid LOVE to garden? Play in the dirt? How about learn new things? What about eating their veggies? Well if you said YES to at least one of those things, you might be looking at your next project and HOPEFULLY add "YES!" to eating their veggies!

Sales People Needed To Join Macaroni Kid

Macaroni Kid is growing and I'm looking for one to two Louisville locals to join me on my Macaroni adventure!  These positions are sales based and will require you to generate leads, cultivate relationships and close sales with local businesses. 

You will set your own hours and take time off as needed.  Macaroni Kid believes family and kids come first.  I recommend having a minimum of 10 daytime hours per week to dedicate in order to be successful at this position.  Compensation is commission only so this won't replace your day job but will provide some extra income for an ambitions salesperson!

Every Saturday morning kids ages 5 and up can join a host of educators on a variety of adventures from nature hikes to flower planting, scavenger hunts and more.  This is a great opportunity to help kids develop a greater appreciation for the outdoors and to help them develop an early connection to the garden.

Kids 12 and younger are invited to enjoy games, crafts, visits from Churchill Charlie, and special weekly events on the new Plaza Balcony overlooking The Plaza.

Kelley Fisher is pursuing the Kentucky Reserve in regards to a military display in The Plaza and we will offer a paper flag craft.

Sunday, May 26 - Waterfront Heritage Walks

Learn the history of some of Louisville's greatest attractions.  Historian Rick Bell will guide this walking tour which begins at the Belle of Louisville's landing at the fourth Street wharf and ends at the Lincoln Memorial.  Total walking distance approx 2 miles.

Weather Permitting:  Karem's Grill & Pub's Sunset Parties will Occur Thursday May 30, June 13, June 27, July 11 and July 25th throughout the summer. If it's raining on any of these dates, the rain date will be the following Thursday.  Different bands are featured each week.
