The answer is....Music! Studies have proven time and time again that children who participate in music education have greater success in math, science, reading, and vocabulary. The CMA experience will also help them practice good manners (including patience!), and to become a team player.
At Children's Music Academy, kids from 3-6 years of age learn music in a very fun and unique way. It's done in a small group atmosphere with a parent along side...providing a weekly "musical date" for you and your child. My parents say that the special bond that is created and the fun memories made together are some of their favorite things about CMA.
We also take advantage of the "Musical Window" which is the window of time between the ages of four and eight when the potential for development of the musical ear in young children is the greatest. Through ear training we use this musical window to cultivate the musical gift in every young child.
At CMA we want kids to enjoy music. Our amazing curriculum is broad based and not only teaches keyboarding/piano, but also singing, harmony, rhythm, note reading, ear training, composition, ensemble playing, recorder and during the final graduation year, they learn basic guitar! The kids soak it all up like little sponges and retain it without even realizing that they're learning. The fun is absolutely contagious!
