Review of Peppa Pig Live! Big Splash

By Tammy Gnagy-Publisher, Macaroni Kid Louisville East February 7, 2016
I love muddy puddles! My kids discovered Peppa Pig a couple years ago and we have fallen in love with this sweet little family of Peppa, George, Mommy Pig and Daddy Pig and all the fun family adventures they have. So we were so excited to get to see Peppa Pig Live! Peppa Pig's Big Splash at the Louisville Palace a few days ago. I don't know who was looking forward to it the most, me or my kids.

The theater was filled with kids and their families all ready to see Peppa Pig. The performers did a great job bringing the characters to life through puppetry. Peppa, George and the rest of their friends were puppets controlled from behind by puppeteers and Mommy Pig, Daddy Pig, Mr Potato and Mr Bull were people dressed in costume. A girl named Daisy led us through the show, she was a full of energy and did a wonderful job getting everyone involved in the show. That was the best part. From searching to George's dinosaur to playing catch with a ball to competing in the jumping in muddy puddles competition the audience got to participate the whole time.

We got to have lots of fun with Peppa Pig while looking for George's dinosaur, going to playgroup and going to the fair for the muddy puddle jumping competition. There were lots of fun songs, my kids loved a song sang by Mr. Potato and Mrs. Carrot and some various fruits. I was laughing too!

The show was a great length, it was split into two thirty minute segments with an intermission in between. Perfect time to hit the bathroom and get snacks.

Make sure you catch the show in a neighboring town or if it (hopefully) comes back to Louisville. It was perfect for new and old fans of Peppa Pig. Get more information about the live show HERE. You can see Peppa Pig every weekday on Nick Jr. Peppa Pig episodes are also available on DVD, and for download on iTunes and Amazon Instant Video.
